DOVER, NH, January 29, 2015 – Leadership Seacoast, a local non-profit committed to the development of informed and active community leaders, is pleased to announce Devine Millimet has signed on to sponsor Criminal Justice Program Day to be held at Strafford County Complex in Dover, New Hampshire.

Founded in 1947, Devine Millimet brings to bear a history of unmatched service and experience for the benefit of its legal clients and strongly believes in the intrinsic value of local organizations like Leadership Seacoast.

The second of nine program days, Leadership Seacoast’s Justice Day curriculum will focus on issues relating to the criminal justice system, featuring an in-depth discussion with local leaders, such as Alex Casale, Director of the Strafford County Drug Court and Blair Rowlett, Director of the Mental Health Court.

Attendees will participate in a guided tour of the Strafford County jail and learn best practices, data and trends from around the seacoast. The 37 members of Leadership Seacoast’s Class of 2015 will be given a thorough understanding of the most pressing challenges facing Seacoast justice system, like the increasing prevalence of heroin use and the connections between crime, substance abuse, and mental health.

Now entering its 26th year discovering community issues, Leadership Seacoast will host the remaining seven interactive program days of 2015 between now and June, providing participants with an opportunity to explore questions pertaining to health and human services, education, government, economic development, arts and culture, and the environment. By the end of the program, graduates will have discovered the ties binding these diverse topics together and will be empowered to create positive and lasting social change throughout the region.
