Leadership Seacoast Now Accepting Applications for 2013 Class
Application Deadline is December 1
PORTSMOUTH, N.H., October 30, 2012- Leadership Seacoast, a non-profit organization that educates and informs tomorrow’s community leaders, recently held its annual recruitment breakfast at Seacoast Science Center in Rye, New Hampshire. More than one hundred alumni, guests, and candidates were in attendance.
Leadership Seacoast is a non partisan community building program where participants uncover and analyze key issues affecting the cultural, social, political and economic lives of Seacoast residents. Class participation, shared knowledge, expertise and personal perspectives are important components of the well-rounded curriculum. Program day events run from January to June and explore topics such as criminal justice, arts and culture, economic development, government, and health and human services.
The educational program works to inform participants through experiential assignments and class room sessions—ultimately strengthening ties within the community, increasing civic engagement, and developing effective, knowledgeable, and engaged leaders.
