Leadership Seacoast Hosts Informational Forums

Now Accepting Applications for the Class of 2020

PORTSMOUTH, N.H., September 8, 2019 – Leadership Seacoast, an organization committed to developing informed and active citizens, will host two informational forums for potential candidates to learn more about the community leadership program that begins in January 2020. The first forum will be on Thursday, September 26, 2019 from 8:30-10:00 am at Community Action Partnership of Strafford County, in the Bradley Commons building on Central Avenue in Dover, New Hampshire. The second will be on Wednesday, October 9, 2019 from 7:30-9:00 am at the Krempels Center on the Community Campus in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Both events are free for program candidates and open to the public.

The events are designed to introduce Leadership Seacoast’s interactive, non-partisan program by allowing candidates to hear directly from alumni about the benefits of participation. Leadership Seacoast is a community building program where participants discover and analyze key issues affecting the cultural, social, political and economic lives of the region, ultimately strengthening ties within the community and increasing civic engagement.

Annually, Leadership Seacoast accepts up to 40 individuals from local businesses and government, the general community, and non-profit sectors into the 6-month program which offers its members the opportunity to meet and learn from individuals who are actively involved in efforts that will shape the future of the seacoast.

A continental breakfast will be served at both events. The informational session is free for candidates and $20 for alumni. Application deadline for the 2020 program year is October 20, 2019. For more information about Leadership Seacoast program, corporate sponsorship, or to register for the breakfast, visit www.leadershipseacoast.org
