Founded in 1988, by a group of people concerned about community engagement in the region, Leadership Seacoast is designed to allow members a deep dive into the issues and increase knowledge of how communities work while exploring diverse ideas, resources, and practices. More than 150 companies large and small have sponsored the non-profit which has graduated more than 1,000 alumni.

The goal of Leadership Seacoast is to encourage graduates to engage in shaping the future of the region through civic commitment and volunteerism. The evening celebrated the Faces of Leadership, by featuring the countless alumni that embraced a community challenge and worked toward a solution. The organization will continue to deliver their flagship program and also announced a renewed commitment toward engaging alumni.

“We have so many alumni, inspired to take action as a result of their participation in our community engagement program,” said Leadership Seacoast Executive Director Lori Waltz-Gagnon. “We still have work to do to prepare emerging leaders to be active civic citizens.”

Applications are now being accepted for the 2020 program year. To learn more, attend the free informational breakfast to be held Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at 7:30am at the Krempels Center on Community Campus, in Portsmouth, NH or visit www.LeadershipSeacoast.org
