Wentworth by the Sea Country Club was venue for graduation celebration

PORTSMOUTH, N.H. June 24, – Leadership Seacoast, a local non-profit committed to developing informed and active community leaders, commemorated the 2014 program year by graduating its 25th at a graduation reception at the Wentworth by the Sea Country Club in New Castle.

At the graduation ceremony, the class made a commitment to make a difference in their communities over the next 12 months by completing a minimum of  300 hours of service, participating in four service events, and by donating a minimum of 68 items to End 68 Hours of Hunger.

“We are so proud of each of the 36 graduates of the program and enjoyed celebrating their achievement with family, friends and alumni,”   said Jennifer Wheeler, executive director of Leadership Seacoast. “I am particularly proud of their willingness to take their experience to the next level and make a positive impact in their communities by taking action.”

Leadership Seacoast is a six-month interactive, experiential program through which class members learn about civic issues and opportunities for making a difference in their communities. The program provides the chance for the class to create connections, discover the issues, and inspire action.
