PORTSMOUTH, NH, JANUARY 8, 2015— Leadership Seacoast, a non-profit organization that positively impacts the communities of the Seacoast area by developing a base of effective, knowledgeable, and engaged leaders, recently commenced its 2015 program with an opening day retreat at the Browne Center for Innovative Learning in Durham, New Hampshire.

Leadership Seacoast has been running its annual six-month program since 1988, when it was founded by a group of seacoast community leaders devoted to encouraging volunteer involvement and strong regional leadership. The program’s curriculum explores issues affecting the cultural, social, political, and economic lives of seacoast residents via an assortment of workshops, presentations, field trips and other hands-on experiences. The day long retreat, sponsored by Bottomline Technologies, hosted a diverse class of 37 seacoast residents. The Leadership Seacoast class of 2015 includes:
